Why can't I open an XRechnung file normally?
An XRechnung is a structured XML file made for accounting software, not a document meant to be read like a PDF. Opening it in a browser or text editor just shows code. This viewer converts it into a readable invoice.
Which files work?
XRechnung 3.0 (UBL and CII), ZUGFeRD 2.x / Factur-X (XML or PDF with the XML embedded), Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, and other EN 16931 invoices and credit notes.
Is the invoice also checked?
Not here. To check whether an invoice follows the rules, use the validator. It also shows the invoice.
What happens to my file?
It's converted in memory on our EU server and discarded right away. We don't store invoices. The display uses the official KoSIT visualization stylesheets.
