E-invoicing for Stripe: the options compared
Stripe creates PDFs, not e-invoices, so Stripe users need an app or their own integration. Here's how the apps compare for Germany and Belgium. We make Invoiceer, so we've tried to be fair and list where others are stronger.
| App | Germany | Belgium / Peppol | Automatic | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Invoiceer | XRechnung + ZUGFeRD | Peppol BIS 3.0, sends via Peppol | yes | Free 5/month; €9 for 50; €19 for 300 |
| Billit | XRechnung + ZUGFeRD | Peppol, own access point, 40+ countries | yes | Free until 1 Jan 2027, then per onboarding |
| Invopop | XRechnung + ZUGFeRD | Peppol, many countries | yes | Free dev plan; Stripe integration €100/month; country apps €300/month after the first |

When another option is the better choice
- Billit if you want the option Stripe itself recommends, many countries, and it's free until 1 January 2027.
- Fizard if you only invoice German customers and ZUGFeRD is enough: it's free.
- Invopop if you need many countries and an API platform and have the budget.
